Ergoe and I met on our first day of college and she has become my kabarkada and one of my best friends in the entire universe since then. It was such an honor for me to do her makeup for her wedding to Nanoy.
Ergoe was far from your usual bride. She was the coolest, most laid-back, chillax bride I have ever encountered. She got her above-the-knee dress at SM Department Store six days before her wedding--for only P800. She and her groom wore matching Converse Dr. Seuss hi-tops. She sported black nail polish on her fingers, and they exchanged black titanium rings. This bride definitely did not call for the usual bridal look.
I wanted to do dark eyes and red lips for a totally rockin' look to match her black nails and shoes, but Ergoe was lipstick-averse. She wanted her lips to be as light as possible. I did a smokey eye with thick falsies (another request of hers) with pale lips instead. She was happy with the final outcome.
Another friend of ours, Imee, did her hair. Her bridal look--like their entire wedding--was a true labor of love.

Thank you for trusting me to do your makeup on your big day, Goe. I wish you and Nanoy all the best.
